Program not responding

Featured Replies

I've been running back through my database collection and adding new content, so many title lookups. The program has been slow to populate titles in the dropdown bar and sometimes typing any characters becomes stuck. Ultimately, I get the Windows "program not responding" and it just churns without resolving itself and I need to close the program and restart it. I have also rebooted the computer to see if that helps (it does not). Other than Google Chrome running at the same time, the burden on my laptop memory, CPU, and hard drive should be minimal. Functionality in Chrome works just fine when my ComicBase 2024 Archive Edition gets stuck. My current version is v24.0.0.941 which is a recent update.

Just ran the Optimize Database feature, but somewhat skeptical this will solve the issue that has impacted me around 5 times today and a few times yesterday.
