Playing with Comicbase, I can see the covers that i have scanned. If i am adding folders so I can create covers for Atomic Avenue, is that causing me problems with the database? I know the covers are not yet showing up on Atomic Avenue. The titles are showing up but just not the covers. I am wondering if I created the folder wrong.

I am not sure what problem you are asking about but I will try a generic answer.

This sounds correct and shouldn't be a problem.

Here is where it gets 'fuzzy'. If you already see the covers in ComicBase (CB), there is no need to add any additional folder for covers related to Atomic Avenue (AA).

C) "I am wondering if I created the folder wrong"

This is possible if you are creating the folders manually instead of letting CB create them for you. The folder names need to be specifically named to match the Publisher/Titles in CB and take into account Windows limitations. For example, if a Title has a slash ("/") Windows won't allow it and CB substitutes a dash ("-") in its place.

A few things to consider:

1) As of now (and I don't know of any plans to change), AA displays the same cover that is in the CB Master Database (not anyone's local database). This means the cover is the one the editors scanned or a user submitted.

2) When you scan a cover you can add it to CB by dragging/dropping the cover on the Title/Issue it goes to and CB will create a folder, if needed) and place a copy of the cover scan (renaming it to the correct name if you dropped on the correct line for that Issue).

If you leave it at that, it will show up in your database but the Master Database and by extension AA, will not have it.

3) If you like, after adding the cover scan (and/or make any data corrections), you can choose to submit the new/corrected data so it can be reviewed and probably added to the Master database (and AA). If the cover scan is a new scan not in CB or is larger (to a point) and/or better, it will probably be accepted and added. (Just keep in mind this is true or any one so the accepted scan may not be yours.

I had been creating the folders manually. I see that there are not cover pictures for certain titles, so there was no folder for a cover photo. And then the titles that I added were not listed on AA so I did submit new data and a couple days later, the title is now on AA. but not the cover that I scanned and can see in comicbase.
